The Myth: "Eating BEFORE bed makes you gain weight"
This idea has been around forever, but it’s not entirely true.
The Truth is: Weight gain isn’t caused by when you eat — it’s caused by what and how much you eat over time. Your body doesn't suddenly store more fat after 8 PM. The Real Issue is what (and why) you're eating. Many people snack at night out of: Habit, Boredom and Emotional Stress; not actual hunger and often, they’re reaching for high-sugar or heavy foods, which can spike blood sugar, disrupt sleep, or cause bloating.
But! A Small, Balanced Nosh Before Bed Can Actually Help:
If you're truly hungry before bed, a smart little snack can:
- Balance your blood sugar so you don't wake up starving
 - Help you fall asleep (especially if it has magnesium, complex carbs, or a little protein)
 - Reduce nighttime bingeing (by honoring your hunger early)
 - Calm your nervous system, especially when it’s tied to emotional eating or NES (Night Eating Syndrome)

Think: A NOSHY bite with fiber, healthy fat, and natural sweetness
The Key: Keep it light + nutrient-rich
Your body doesn’t need a full meal before bed — just a little nourishment to say: I’m listening. I care. You’re good.
